DESCRIPTION:Holidays on Peachtree Street\nAtlanta Freedom Bands kicks off i
 ts 33rd season with "Holidays on Peachtree Street"\, featuring seasonal se
 lections that highlight the landmarks along our city's most famous street.
  Peachtree Street is always aglow with holiday lights and happenings. Our 
 program takes us from the elegance of the Fox Theatre to the dizzying heig
 hts of the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel. Along the way we take in the madn
 ess of the DragonCon parade\, the memory of Backstreet\, and the mayhem of
  SnowMageddon. We even take a side trip along to the famous Royal Peacock 
 on Auburn Avenue for a night with Ray Charles.\n\nAFB is proud to welcome 
 our new Artistic Director O'Shae Best to the podium\, conducting the band 
 in his first concert. Mr. Best is the Director of Bands at Fayetteville Hi
 gh School and brings a wealth of experience conducting in the middle schoo
 l\, high school\, and collegiate settings to AFB. We know you will enjoy m
 eeting him and seeing his artistic influence on the band.\n\nAFB will welc
 ome Victoria Lemos as your host and tour guide to all the sights. Victor
 ia hosts the Archive Atlanta podcast\, and she is looking forward to telli
 ng you some of the hidden histories behind these famous places. You will l
 eave educated and entertained!\n\nThe tenth season of AFB's Student Compos
 er Residency Program will kick off with the world premiere of "Midnight Sn
 owfall"\, a new work by Jacob Cirabisi\, a music major at the University o
 f West Georgia. You won't want to miss the chance to meet this up-and-comi
 ng compositional talent.\n\nAFB's Season 33 concerts have the unifying the
 me "No Places Like Home"\, with each celebrating a place we call home. Our
  holiday concert celebrates the City of Atlanta\, and we will follow in Ma
 rch with "Georgia on our Minds" and in June with "Americans We".  We hope
  to see you at all of them.\n\nGet your tickets today for this exciting an
